Getting Help as an Observer

If you run into an issue while in Canvas, support is available! Begin by selecting the "Help" button, located on the left-side Global Navigation menu. Then, select from one of the support resource items within the menu. You can also contact the Help Desk by emailing homesupport@provo.edu.

Getting Help for your Child

Follow these guidelines if your child needs help with Canvas:

Where does my child go for Canvas help?
- By selecting on the Help button at the bottom of the left-hand global navigation menu, your student can contact their teacher, search support guides, or report a technical problem.
I would like to view all the guides for student support.

My student cannot log in!
- Please have your child contact a teacher so a technician can help with login issues.
My student doesn't see his/her courses.
- Click on Courses in the global navigation menu. Click "All Courses" to view all courses. "Star" the courses you want viewable in Dashboard. If courses are not viewable in "All Courses" please have your child contact a teacher so a technician can help with viewing issues.
My student needs help submitting an assignment.
My student needs help with online discussions.
How does my student email his/her teacher?
- There are two ways to communicate with the teacher of the course:
  - Select the "Help" button on the global navigation bar and "Ask Your Instructor a Question"
  - Select the "Inbox" on the global navigation bar to message the instructor.
