LATINOS IN ACTION 9 & 10 (EL)

Full Year - Grades 9, 10

Prerequisite: 2.0 GPA and application/approval

UVU Concurrent Enrollment credit available

Latinos in Action (LIA) is a class designed to empower youth to lead and strengthen their communities through college and career readiness skills. In addition, this class will allow students to develop essential leadership and mentoring skills. Students will be expected to maintain high academic and behavioral standards, serve in leadership roles and committees, participate in LIA activities, and mentor elementary school students. Applications for this course are open to all students in grades 9-10.
